I can usually sniff that off the invitation. That said, if it's a cause, event, or a person I support, I have no problem showing up, shelling out and offering my all I have. It really comes down to knowing what you're going to before you get there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-80882215650320774992010-08-21T10:23:02.062-04:002010-08-21T10:23:02.062-04:00My preference would be to give a modest party you ...My preference would be to give a modest party you can afford. We always go to a place we all can afford. I really have never heard of a party where you had to pay to get it. I think that is riiculous and not really a party.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15343058170096974131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-36770330518696856282010-08-11T08:12:53.731-04:002010-08-11T08:12:53.731-04:00Let ’em eat cake.Let ’em eat cake.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-8288293065928356872010-02-26T08:46:36.685-05:002010-02-26T08:46:36.685-05:00Interesting this comes up a lot with folks lately....Interesting this comes up a lot with folks lately. I've always been put off by people doing this I'd rather atten a small gathering and enjoy the company of friends without all the fanfare and bring a nice gift instead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-61468749893859275252010-02-25T13:12:53.568-05:002010-02-25T13:12:53.568-05:00Hmmm....this is a tough one. And that there not be any gotcha moments where people are scrambling around for the necessary funds. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-64124741120501367802010-02-25T12:56:33.898-05:002010-02-25T12:56:33.898-05:00Paying to Party made me sign up to follow Y&Y,...Paying to Party made me sign up to follow Y&Y, it's a beautiful thing!
B!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-29833614359010808572010-02-25T12:16:03.462-05:002010-02-25T12:16:03.462-05:00Some people are worth the money. If I can only afford to go there once a year, this is probably not the event I'd choose to celebrate there, so I end up making an excuse and not going.Claudia Lynchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7558011555631278718.post-73718970431760162192010-02-25T11:06:29.790-05:002010-02-25T11:06:29.790-05:00when you invite people to parties.....they need to...when you invite people to parties.....they need to know up front if there is a cost...and what the cost
will be...otherwise it's in very very poor taste ! then they can decide if they can participate.....
and if they want too...that's what i think......Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
